My purpose in life is to create comix and 'zines. To quote a former workshop leader, Fly, "D.I.Y. or die!"
I've created a zine called "Booty Call." It will be the first of many zines and comix that I will be birthed from me.
Booty Call is a cautionary tale, ripped from the headlines of real life, about lust, responsibility and anxiety, as things don't quite work out to be a simple, pleasureable weekend. Tension quickly follows his first booty call when he gets a call from her two weeks later and she tells him....?! Find out what happens, because it could be you next!
Booty Call is printed in an experimental format. I wondered how the layout would affect the read, and I can only find out once you've read this zine and have let me know.
Oddly enough the original photocopies of the dummy book look better than the original artwork. All the inks look better, but then again, I used a Sharpie Chisel Tip marker to ink a lot of the zine. Now that's high tech.
Booty Call made its real world debut at the Westheimer Block Party in Houston, Texas this past weekend in its third printing, of which many copies are still available. It will surely appear again at this coming Spring's Westheimer Block Party.
As you might be able to tell, I'm still working on my computer skills. My production abilities are very rudimentary and I can barely do anything to make my books look better with the use of the computer. I've got a lot of learning to do.
Please note that all content of my page here, artwork and intellectual (hah hah, I know), is copyright Last Grasp 2006. Please don't steal any of it.

And what I myself have to say...
I myself will try to be there again this year, though times are tight.
Please brings comix and zines for trade and/or money to buy things.
