This page was created simply to put up our unreleased song 'Habitations of Devils'. But then we thought what the hell... lets put up a few more songs.
Last Hours Of Torment formed in 1999 in North London. They drew influence from the likes of At The Gates, Immortal and The Year Of Our Lord, whilst maintaining a DIY approach to doing things. As a result you'd usually find them playing hardcore bills with bands such as xCANAANx, 50 Caliber, Seventh Judgement and Tenfold Truth. They managed to effortlessly combine the brutality and extremity of death and black metal with the kinetic energy of hardcore, and live, they were a total killing machine. After some initial member troubles the band secured a stable line up with the addition of bassist James and 2nd guitarist Adam in Spring 2002, and set to work writing and playing some of the most blazing and uncompromising death metal London (and everywhere else within earshot!) had ever heard. The icy winter of 2002 was the perfect backdrop for the band to unleash their debut MCD 'Downfall Of Man', a multi-layered masterpiece of cold, scathing and lunging death metal, often hidden menacingly behind a false veil of melodic interludes. Their lyrics were suitably bleak, riddled with apocalyptic visions bloody imagery, and an overwhelming feeling of gloom and pessimism. The double-vocalled attack surrounds the listener, and even the most cynical of observers will find themselves powerless to Last Hours Of Torments crushing delivery. The band spent early 2003 touring the United States with their buddies Brutal Fight, and returned to the UK to break in a brand new drummer. Unfortunately the band would not last much longer. With further line up difficulties the band called it a day in early 2004. Pick up the 'Downfall Of Man' CD now and experience on CD the intensity that you possibly never got to see live onstage.
