I am proof that the living dead walk the earth. Listen to my howl, feel my breath, as I exhale the stench of death.
Currently recording the up and coming demo Oleander Tea which will be finished in the next few months. For a sneak preview listen to Cleaning You All Away. If interested in receiving a copy, send me a message and I will put you on the promo list.
Something strange has happened, something very rare and unique. The eerie GRANDMASTER ABSCON and the wonderful GLORIOUS MAIDEN have met under curious circumstances and shared an instant of ingenious inspiration. Yes, it was peculiar… but they recorded a song, and it was OH SO BEAUTIFUL.
Please be welcome, and lend us your ear. The song will be on our players this weekend only and released later this year.
I actually don't know too many of the details - but I think she does. We're staying a little way from the City I think as well but with friends so it's easier.
The Book is called Pawn of War by Rudi Stiebritz. It's actually quite a good read so far. I have been really getting into these War Autobios lately. I bought another one recently but I found it quite difficult to read as it's all very matter of fact and from multiple Historians points of view. This new one is in first person so it's much easier to understand. Plus, Rudi seems to have quite a sense of humour in his writing.
What I like about this one is, in most of the other books I have read they seem to be very bias about WWII and they tend to leave a lot of parts out from the German peoples/soldiers point of view. Not saying that I agree with what went on, but there are a lot of things left out that the opposing sides did. I have certainly learnt a lot about Russia in the current book and a lot of things I did not know regarding their armies and such.
Wow that's so cool about your book! I want to read and see what it's all about. Speaking of books, yesterday I was at Angus and Robertson looking for a new book to read and there was an Author there doing a signing and no one was in line. He was really old and mumbling things I couldn't understand out loud. So I walked over and asked him what his book was about and he turned out to be a German Soldier from WWII and he was also a Prisoner of War. He was really interesting to listen to but he still holds a lot of the same political views from back then if you know what I mean ;) For example in all seriousness he told me to change my name because Rakkel in Finnish translates to Rachel and that originally is a Jewish name haha. I was a little taken back when he told me to change my name, but I said I'd be OK. He signed my book for me and wrote something else in there which I cannot understand. Not because of his English but because his writing isn't that good due to him being mostly blind.
It certainly was an experience.
If you're coming down on your own message ange as they found some really cheap accommodation down there that's close to the venue.
Sweet. the K.F.S gig sounds cool. I don't think I have seen them since Bloodlust in 2004. Super nerd excitement lol. Sounds like fun - but a pain in the ass. Is it coming all set up for you or do you have to put all the programs on it yourself? That's painful especially if you don't know exactly what you're doing. When Chris got his new one that I am using right now there were all sorts of issues with it and we had to get Shane to look at it a few times, then it ended up in the shop :s
This weekend I am doing sweet F.A. The past few weeks have been full so I just want to do nothing! and I also have to work. But Friday/Saturday is my weekend. It's raining quite a bit up here at the moment too so it's nice to sit inside and watch DVDs :)
