About me:
Oh, hello--I didn't see you there. I suppose you'd like to know a little bit "about me," right? Well, you've come to the appropriate place! I recently received an MFA in creative writing from The Ohio State University, where I taught various undergraduate writing courses and served as Associate Nonfiction Editor for The Journal, OSU's award-winning biannual literary magazine. I currently write a weekly humor column called The Shallow Observer for Denton Publications, which puts out several newspapers in eastern New York and western Vermont. I also post random, occasionally entertaining, tidbits at twitter.com/danleonidas and facebook.com/danleonidas. But enough "about me"--what "about you"?

Jetpack Comics

Dec 1 2009 3:21 PM

Greetings myspace pal!
Drop us a line sometime and chat comics with us. Tell us what you're into, ask us if we have stuff, whatever!
Be sure to check out www.jetpackcomics.com for more info. Be sure to read our bulletins too, because we've heard they are usually pretty funny.

ALSO, we just released an incredible variant for Joe Hills Locke and Key: Crown of Shadows #1. This Jetpack Comics variant is limited to 1000 copies and is quickly becoming a very sought after issue.
It's probably the coolest variant we've ever done, which is saying a lot because we did one for Locke and Key: Head Games #1, we've done them for Kill Audio, Mercy Thompson, Dean Koontz Frankenstein, Dresden Files, and more! But this one? It just might be the coolest. Check it out! Thats not just ink, the front is entirely done in GOLD FOIL! Thats just the front, we won't even talk about the bad ass ZOMBIE face on the back cover. On sale for a limited time!

First of all, there's almost no such thing as a bad John Carpenter film. Second of all, Kurt Russell's career is not dead.
Did you not see Grindhouse, or at least Death Proof?

Cheers for another fine column (and extra cheers for referencing John Carpenter's Escape From New York)...jeers for implying (or outright saying) that Kurt Russell is dead. Just like his character Snake Plissken...Kurt Russell will never die.

There was a time while you were waitering that you took a photo of a highly intoxicated customer in the company of his fiancee and future inlaws.
I was the highly intoxicated customer. Also, I am no longer engaged nor do I have any potential future inlaws.
I have since held you responsible for this.
Though really, it's Dave's fault.
And, I never saw that picture.
Hope Watchmen is going well.
