I'm Ed Hope, a singer / songwriter of 7 years... I play with 7 or so of my friends; they know instruments both obscure & familar.
Together we play simple toe-tapping acoustic folk, much like a merry Catholic family jamming on a bank holiday. The songs are stories about such things as boats, barn dances, woodlands, Christmas, all written from a simple perspective, with the aim to charm you into a little nostalgia, even if you've never been to a jig.
Last summer saw our first tour, 16 shows, 7 of which were sell outs, ending with the final night at Hackney Empire.
We are currently booking up a 30 show tour for Summer 2008, which will coincide with our first (full band) EP release.

If you enjoy the music, have seen me live, etc. And you say a nice 'hello'.

Yeah, i saw you outside M&S, you're awesome. I was going to come back with some cash to buy your CD, but it looked like it was going to rain, & when i came back, you'd packed up :(
It was quite surprising to see musicians playing in Nottingham that aren't scary tramps or native americans (don't ask).
