LAS VEGAN Commando was formed during the summer 2007. After long time searching for the way of life we could be satisfied by, we found each other and decided to run together the project of mobile vegan kitchen. Bored by regular life style, having job and feeling that we permanently miss something in our lives we decided to create something new for us and also not so usual for people around us/in the huge hc/punk/alternative scene/way of life. Something what will lead us in some way, will fill our lives from A to Z. The idea is simply based on maximum of our passions: travelling, cooking, living the alternative, not so regular way of life (whatever it means), doing activity in a DIY ethics, music etc. Mostly we’re active in the hc/punk/alternative scene but we’re enough open-minded (i hope so) to come to another events, totally not connected to our roots or do stuffs for marriage for example or another crazy or not usual happenings. We'd like to come to the festivals or smaller gigs (if invited of course) to cook and serve good vegan food, usually just for donation, sometimes fixed price as well. So if you organized this kind of stuffs and you’re curious what the Las Vegan is, you can invite us and won’t be disappointed. Important thing is, that as a kinda alternative to alternative, we wanna serve a meal which looks beautiful on the plate, that’s why we've got “restaurant” in our name.

news: Since a little while we've been working on this project. Our collective grew up to 6 persons now, so we menage to do stuff for a lot of people (and it isn't just "pasta a'la sauce tomate", even if it's very good, you know what i mean). With the time we've improved our technical skills and recepits of course;)We've been working for couple of festivals, organizing restaurants, meeting a lot of great people. And we're gonna continue so you can contact us if you need good service for the events you organize.

When the dark clouds over Rozbrat squat have become a real threat we decided to organize a first (but probably not the last) demonstration in defence of our space. As some of you may already know, things around Rozbrat’s future started happening – the bank, the court, the auction. We will not wait passively, it’s high time we showed our presence in the city, in its streets.
The city authorities, against their own declarations, don‘t want to let Rozbrat stay, they don‘t support the place nor the cause. The words said by the vice president of Poznan when he met with us don‘t allow us to think in an optimistic way: there’s no space for us where we are now, there’s no space for us in the city centre, maybe there would be something in the outskirts, but this comes with no concrete proposal… so basically it comes with nothing. The city politics are clear – throw out everything what is different, unprofitable, what is not fitting in the commercial image of Poznan, they want to clear the centre so that it becomes an unlimited shopping mall.
To protest against treating the city as a shopping mall, against conforming everything to the big business, against destroying the social bonds and in defence of places such as Rozbrat – where social, cultural and political functions work together – on 9 May at 3 p.m. in front of the Opera house there will be a demonstration under the slogan ROZBRAT STAYS – LET‘S RECLAIM THE CITY.
