MISSION STATEMENT OF THE LAS VEGAS BLUES SOCIETY:
The mission of the Las Vegas Blues Society is to preserve Blues Music and its history, promote Blues Music within the greater Las Vegas community by providing forums to discuss Blues Music, its performers, performances, writers, promoters and historians both past and present. Furthermore the Las Vegas Blues Society through its community-based activities seeks to increase awareness of Blues Music through events, certain performances at various venues, publications and recordings, and lastly providing access to Blues Music.
Thanx to all of you for throwing yer monthly blues party. Truly enjoyed all the jammers and the Howlin' Hounds; great new band! As usual, I had a great time. If any of your people or the maybe the bar found a sax stand, it's mine. I'm always leaving that thing somewhere! God willing and the creek don't rise, I'll see ya next month! Peace.
It is quite exciting to be a part of the Las Vegas Blues Society as its Treasurer. I know how hard all of the Board of Directors are working to keep the Blues Alive in Las Vegas.
