About me:
We are the Las Vegas Guitar Club, where guitar and bass guitar enthusiasts across Las Vegas come to celebrate the culture and art of playing guitar and bass. Our mission is to cultivate a culture of guitar playing in the valley of Las Vegas, as well as educate guitar and bass students through clinics, master classes, and jam sessions. We cover and celebrate all genres and styles of guitar playing from classical, jazz, heavy metal, electric and acoustic blues, rock, flamenco, folk, gypsy swing, Latin and fusion.
Our guitar instructors include:
Edward Eden: Guitar, Bass, Piano and Saxophone. Edward has created a curriculum that centers on the students' musical interests and tastes, coupled with a sound foundation in musicianship, performing, theory, improvisation, ear training and songwriting. Edward earned a B.S. degree in Studio Music in 1996 from College of Saint Rose, Albany, NY
His teaching experience includes:
Northwest Music Academy, Las Vegas, NV, March 2006-present
Self-Employed Guitar Instructor, San Diego, CA, September 2000-March 2006
The Children's Primary School, San Diego, CA, February 2005-April 2005, Instructed music classes for a charter school, teaching seventh and eighth grade students aspects of guitar that ended with a recital at the end of the program.
Work Experience, Retail Music Sales, Guitar Center-San Diego, CA, November 1997-August 2000
Ryan Hills is currently a music instructor responsible for teaching private and group guitar and piano classes at Montessori Visions Academy, as well as teaching guitar and piano privately for Northwest Music Academy. He has a curriculum that focuses on sound-association and music theory. He has taught guitar and western music theory overseas in Karachi, Pakistan in the high school setting. Jazz improvisation, blues, theory and beginning methods are core areas of his instruction.
He received his education from American School of Modern Music, in Paris, France, and subsequently at North Texas University.
His teaching experiences include:
