Lateace started her career at niteclub's in Houston, Texas that have long since vanished. In those day's you put on your own music then made your way to the stage. Clubs like the Pink Elephant on Main St in downtown Houston and The Million Dollar Dump (with the GRANDEST STAGE in Texas) that eventually turned into (Numbers) #'s, Micheal's , The Midnight Sun and the Booby Rock on Lower Westheimer and the Grand daddy of them all, The Copa Houston to name a small few. Lateace did show's in just about every nightclub around the great state of Texas and many around the nation. She was often seen headlining at The The Paper Moon and The Bonham Exchange in San Antonio, The Old Plantation in El Paso as well as The Bourbon Street Pub, Oz and Rubyfruit Jungle in New Orleans. She was a founding member of the drag ensemble The Thunderous Three that opened many Houston nightclubs including the infamous QT's.
The Thunderous Three were inspired by the legendary Fabulous Four of Rich's nightclub fame. The other two member's of the group were Krystal Lame (like the fabric) and Dominique Sashay . After the group broke up Lateace then became a fixture in nightclubs all over Houston and throughout Texas. Her solo career took off and she could be seen burning up the stages at the Village Station in Dallas and Miss Kitty's, Heaven (pre-FIRE) and Rich's Houston on it's main floor as well as the upstairs Drag Bar, Club Tar Tar. On July 4th 1990 she captured the title of Miss Gay Texas State as it's Emeritus Reigning Queen. She also won the title's of Miss Gay Island City USofA and Miss Gay Galveston USofA. She then turned her focus towards performing at benefit's to raise money and awareness for HIV/AIDS organinzations around Texas and throughout the United States. She never went back to the pageant systems to try her luck for another title and had no regrets about it but was often asked to perform as a Special Guest at many contests. She became a member of the Diana Foundation during their glory days and helped with Miss Camp America for 15 years.
Lateace went on permanent vacation in 1996 so her alter ego could focus on his career only to resurface one last time for a Halloween Bash at Rich's Houston in the year 2000 which is probably still being talked about even today. If you want to know more well your shit out of luck cuz this time the gowns have been hung, the hair has been combed out, the crowns have been packed away and the heel's have been tossed aside. In other word's....she's definately HISTORY.
