Late Expectations has continued to grow as a band, and has evolved into the rock trio that they are today. With great live performances and plenty of stage energy, the band is continuing to build a solid local following in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The music is heavy and loud with screaming vocals that are aggressive and lyrically strong. Chris Botvidson explains, "Our approach gives the songs a raw and powerful style that is pure Texas rock 'n roll". The band is currently performing material that will appear on their highly anticipated new album, The Electric Chessboard, which will be recorded in late 2009.
