Just Who Are The Late Joys, Anyway?

The Late Joys play crackly catchy tunes, music to jangle the nerves and tickle the tendons. These are (mostly) up-tempo, post-punk influenced songs -- infectious, Rickenbacker-laced confections with literate lyrics, catchy melodies and left-leaning political sensibilities. Songs of love and loss go hand in hand with paeans to provocation, all performed joyfully to a great pop beat.

Jan 20 2008 5:31 PM yes, here i am.... moved to ny about six months ago and am happy to say i am not teaching to kids of the rich. not yet atleast. but i am still equally despising them as i serve them their drinks and sell my soul cocktailing at a deliciously snotty establishment in midtown. those are my weekends, and my weekdays are full of dancing (i got accepted into the independent study program at alvin ailey) and auditioning. hope all is well in austin, music, family, weather :) i'm not crazy about the weather here but i guess it's a small price to pay for an overpriced apartment and a bunch of great friends.... cheers! a
