Billy Wilson, Stephen Zirkel, Ulrich Ellison, Marty Mack, Marianna Hetrick, Claire Rhein, Jake Owen, Jacinta, Joe Zito, and Jeff Botta.
Wilson is the leader, songwriter, lead vocalist, and classical/rhythm guitar player of Latin at Heart. His gift for melody fuels the songs, and his passionate vocals are the centerpiece of Latin at Heart's intense melodic rock sound.
Zirkel, a supremely talented musician and a 30-year veteran of the Austin music scene, plays bass and helps with the arrangements of Latin at Heart's music and sound. His contribution to the band, musically, and as a stage director during shows, has played a major role in the growth and the progress of the band. Also on bass, from San Diego, Latin at Heart is happy to have the solid musicianship of Joseph Zito.
Ulrich Ellison is the presence on lead guitar. Ellison brings a youthful passion, but also a disciplined dedication, to the craft of creating the ethereal sounds on lead guitar that are a Latin at Heart trademark. Latin at Heart is also blessed with contributions on lead guitar by the talented Jake Owen.
The BIG sound of Latin at Heart has arrived, because keyboards and four-part harmonies have been added! Accomplished players like Marianna Hetrick, Jacinta, and Claire Rhein will bring their keyboard wizardry and vocals to Latin at Heart, completing the sound that was originally envisioned.
Playing drums for Latin at Heart is a key ingredient and a challenging task that very few players have been able to master. On the drums, Latin at Heart is privileged to have the extraordinary musicianship of Marty Mack and Jeff Botta.

Latin at Heart 'Amigo Mio' on Indie Live Austin tv show.
Four years ago, Latin at Heart was a vague concept in the mind of suburban family man, Billy Wilson. Today, Latin at Heart is a five-piece concept rock band with a big sound that includes keyboards and four-part harmonies. From writing the first song on a $20-dollar cassette player in the living room, to countless nights downtown shaking hands with bar managers and musicians, Latin at Heart has risen to play Antone's, share the stage with Grupo Fantasma, and perform exciting once-a-month shows in Austin's major music venues.
Where does "Latin at Heart" come from? Latin at Heart is an original concept rock band that plays what can be called album rock, kind of like the late 70s and early 80s, with flamenco hooks in the melodies and vocals, and all in Spanish. And, when YOU go out on a Saturday night in Latin garb, and have fajitas and margaritas, and view Mexican sculptures at Mexic Arte, and take in a Del Castillo or Latin at Heart show, and finish the night with salsa dancing till 2:00 am, you are, for that night, "Latin at Heart"!
The origins of Latin at Heart can be traced back to Wilson's childhood. Raised in Central America, he grew up listening to Latin crooners like Raphael and Armando Manzanero. At home his mother always had a vinyl record spinning with the symphonies of Russian composers. Upon his return to the States at the age of 13, it was Beatles, Moody Blues, Eagles, Boston, Fleetwood Mac, Fogelberg, Steely Dan, Springsteen, and Van Halen. It can be argued that Latin at Heart's music is the combination of all of these areas of influence.
The band features Wilson’s passionate lead vocals and the musicianship of some of the most accomplished players in Austin, namely Stephen Zirkel, Ulrich Ellison, Marianna Hetrick, Brad Evilsizer, and Jeff Botta. With it's unique sound and make-up, and with this group of talented musicians, Latin at Heart is winning over music fans and has become a major player in the Austin music scene.
