Nacional Records is proud to announce that Chilean mix master Latin Bitman will return with his new album ‘Colour’ on October 20th. ‘Colour’ brings Bitman’s infectious fusion of dub, electronica and hip hop with some bossa nova and turntablism thrown in for good measure. One of Chile’s most exciting musical exports, DJ Bitman (formerly known as Bitman & Roban), returns with the new album Latin Bitman (Nacional Records – Nov. 6th) and first radio single “Shine.” The album follows 2006’s critically-acclaimed U.S. debut ‘Musica Para Despues de Almuerzo,’ which received significant airplay on tastemaker stations like Indie 103 (Los Angeles), KCRW (Los Angeles), KEXP (Seattle) and KUT (Austin). DJ Bitman has kept busy since the release of Musica Para Despues del Almuerzo, and in the past year has seen widespread use of his music, including placements in EA Games’ FIFA 2007 video game, as well as inclusion in the ‘La Mujer de Mi Hermano’ soundtrack and numerous ad campaigns.
DJ Bitman’s infectious beats are laced with bilingual lyrics, and are making an impact on American danceclubs as Latin electronica continues to win over new audiences.
