Latin Rock, Inc,I would like to thank the leaders of Mestizo, Tony Vella and John Rodriguez, for presenting me with a Certificate of Honor from Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Francisco, proclaiming July 3 "Dr Bernardo Gonzalez" Day. When they presented this to me in the middle of a sold-out show at the Little Fox I was speechless, so I would like to take this time to thank them for this wonderful gesture. The most important part of this recognition is about my work for autism awareness.I also would like to say that I do not do all of this by myself. I would like to share this with my co-producers from "The Voices of Latin Rock", Ron Sansoe, Jeff Trager, Jim McCarthy, Abel Sanchez, Rita Gentry and Gina Rossi. Also my partners from Latin Rock, Inc, Sam Totah and Oscar Moreno. The punk rock band, Nana
pancha. Will be presenting in the west of the United States
with its their most recent independent album, titled, “Flores Para Los Muertos” ("Flowers For the dead "). The completion of this material was performed
with our company 'Reaccion Records'
and "REAL INDEPENDENCIA" (PANTEON ROCOCO). The recording and the mixing was done by Jorge Amparo 'Chiquis' and Enrique
Ibarra" (FINDE, AXPI, ELLI NOISE, BIG SPIN, ETC.), explained Arturo,
bassist of the group.
Along these 12 years
the group has participated in multiple record compilations in Mexico, United
States, and France. It added on “Flores Para Los Muertos”, that
contains 12 songs, of which 11 are totally new and a song of the group Tijuana no called "Transgresores de la Ley", besides
that the Promotional single named "Mejor Error", " is like a homage to
this band, only that with the Nana Pancha touch".
"This album
reflects the musical growth acquired along 12 years in the musical scene, the
sound is inclined toward the distorted guitars and classical sounds of the ska,
creating a unique style that has evolved without losing the coolness of the
previous recordings. It is a fusion of
rhythms that goes from the ska passing to rock, punk and even the hard core, as
well as some fusions of country and reggae", Arturo commented.
Nana Pancha Is born In Mexico City in 1997 Taking as main
influences the punk rocker, ska, hardcore reggae, among others. Nana Pancha is : Abraham Torres "Muñecko"
(voice), Arturo Salinas "Gigio" (Bass), Hugo Montes (drums), Gregorio
Amaro "Niño" (keyboard), Jorge Amaro "huevas"
(percussions), Miguel Gutiérrez "Camellito" (guitar) and Orlando
Santo "Joe" (trombone player).
