With sounds honed out of the S.F Mission District and led by timbalero Victor Nolasco, Safari fuses 1970s Latin rock with the flavors of New York City salsa. The songs are Bay Area dancehall favorites first performed by the bands of Benny Velarde, Carlos Federico, the Escovedo Bros., Cal Tjader and Chepito Areas but re-arranged with the Safari stamp.
