   About La Tuza
We're the only Mexican roots band in New England, and one of just a handful on the East Coast. We specialize in the African-influenced son jarocho of Veracruz, the swinging son calentano of the Mexican Hotlands, and the fiery son huasteco of central Mexico.

We've performed at many local universities, as well as clubs like Johnny D's, Lizard Lounge, Toad, Club Passim, and Ryles. Sign up for our mailing list to receive emails about upcoming shows.

If you are with a nonprofit (libraries and schools qualify) based in Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont, you can apply for a grant to help cover our performance fees!
