    Manchmal klingen sie wie ein karamellfarbener Cashmerepullover, manchmal wie die Befreiung der entführten Freundin aus den Händen eindimensionaler Bösewichter. Die Musik der rundum erneuerten Electrofunk-Band Laubfrosch scheint Metaphern zu befördern. Immer schon bekannt für ihre Unkonventionalität, sieht es nun jedoch endgültig danach aus, als haben die drei Jungs zu sich und ihrem eigenwilligen Stil gefunden: Andre May, Nico Kiefer und Christian Wilhelm bringen den Rap auf die Tanzfläche und vereinen dabei Kunst und Groove zu einer Emotion. „Was war? Was ist? Was wird vermisst? Ich liebe. – sonst nichts." (GONE) Dass die Überelectrofunksters, wie sie jüngst in der Blogosphäre genannt wurden, im opaken Diskonebel eine mehr als gute Figur machen, lässt sich anhand ihrer zahlreichen Remixe für Bands wie Yeasayer, Breakthrough-Pop-Sensationen wie Florrie oder routinierte Alternative-Gruppen wie Metric eindrucksvoll nachvollziehen. However, the music of all-new Electrofunk-Outfit "Laubfrosch" seems to convey metaphors. Always known for their unconventional style, they now seem to be right on track: Andre May, Nico Kiefer and Christian Wilhelm are bringing rap to the dancefloor und unify art and groove to one emotion. (GONE) That these Überelectrofunksters, as they were recently called in blogosphere, look just perfect in opaque disco-haze, can be seen in their various remixes for bands like Yeasayer, Breakthrough-Pop-Sensations like Florrie or Alternative-Heroes like Metric. Laubfrosch's sweat-inducing live-performances represent their high ambitions too, recently proven as supporting-act for the German Indie-Rap-Group Blumentopf.
