The Laugh At Cancer Organization Inc.is a 501 c 3 grassroots organization is a nonprofit organization that is helping families touched by cancer...directly or indirectly!Our mission is to help all families facing cancer's touch and restore hope in all families. In, addition, we will provide encouragement, support, and assistance to all families. We shall strive to provide awareness and information online and offline. Our organization wants to make a difference in the lives of those families who have been devastated by this disease. We believe that laughter and positivity is a vital tool for families when facing the uncertainty what tomorrow brings. May we inspire and encourage you, as you spend time getting to know our members. Everyone is welcome, because we do not discriminate based on religion or creed. Members are encouraged to donate their time in helping those in their community. Furthermore, we believe that no family should ever face cancer's touch alone!
We are registered as a non profit in Florida and currently looking forward to reaching over 1000 families this year. Come by our website and see how we are making difference together and achieving the what is said to be impossible.
The founder has built and maintains an online global support community for anyone touched by cancer, even pet owners. These popular support communities are free to all ages in need. The community has many projects and members that offers support, along with hope to families facing cancer’s touch. I've wondered about this question often - and if we do look
like our pets, which came first? Are we drawn to the way an animal
looks and purchase it because we already had similar characteristics or
did we simply mold ourselves into the way our pet looked over time?
Well,
after much debate and scientific study, the answer is likely "yes". At
least that's the story according to research from the University of
California by Nicholas Christenfeld and Michael Roy when it comes to
purebreds. We do end up resembling our pets. The full study,
Do Dogs Resemble Their Owners?, appears in the
journal Psychological Science.
So why is this important to you?
Well, if you're a pet lover like me, it might explain a lot. I have a
miniature schnauzer and, personally, I have eyebrows that have gone
wild. Have you seen a schnauzer? It's a scary thought. For fun, I'd
love to hear how you resemble your pet.
I am the
creator of a great social network focused on pets. Some ask me why I
opted to develop such a social site, and it's kind of a funny story.
Not long ago, the organization that employs me decided to have many of
its' employees work from home. I am a social person, and missed the
interaction with people every day. I opted to join MySpace to keep in
touch with family and friends, but found that no one other than family wanted to talk to a grown woman.
