Extracts from 'Technically, It's Not Our Fault' reviews:
"Thumbs up for persisting with sound as far from fashionable as is around right now, and thumbs up too for doing a damn good job in the process." - Punktastic.com
"Technically, Laughing In The Face Of are an incredibly proficient young punk band who obviously know their way around a fretboard and have mastered the arcane art of complex time changes. To describe their playing as 'tight' would be doing them an injustice." - Bigcheesemagazine.com
"While it's hard to pick out a particular song or songs as stand-outs, instead 'Technically...' is a consistently great effort, solid and well put-together and sparkling with ability and a level of professionalism that marks these guys out as a band deserving of wider recognition." - www.myspace.com/ashortfanzineaboutrocking
About Laughing In The Face Of *2 NEW SONGS UP NOW!*
'The Lubrication Of Social Anxiety' COMING 2010!
For now, 2 new songs online to wet the appetite!!
Born Summer 2002, Laughing In The Face Of are a band from Birmingham with a passion for fast, heavy and melodic punk rock.
At the start there were a few lineup changes, but the current lineup has remained solid since October 2004. Since then, LITFO have maintained doing small tours around the UK with some awesome UK bands, whilst keeping busy for the rest of the time doing plenty of one-off gigs. The band have been lucky enough to play support slots for bands like This Is A Standoff, Guttermouth, No Trigger, and Set Your Goals amongst a bunch of other great international bands that have toured the UK. Radio One's 'The Lockup' show, and also XFM's punk show have previously played 2 different LITFO tracks, and another song features on a compilation (Punktastic Recs/Banquet Recs: Unscene 4), available in most shops and online. A few demos were made and handed out at gigs in the early years, including the 'Do Your Worst EP' (Jan'04) and The 'Angry Man With Frying Pan EP' (Dec '04). But the first pressed release came April '08, in the form of 'Technically It's Not Our Fault' - released through their own label 901dB Recordings. This CD is currently available to purchase by mail order, at a few independent stores in the UK, and at shows. The band have been working hard since then progressing on previous material, and have now recorded 5 songs towards either an EP or an album, to be released early 2010 titled 'The Lubrication Of Social Anxiety'. 2 new songs are currently on the myspace player above!
