Lau are back with their highly anticipated second album, ‘Arc Light’, released March 30th 2009 on Navigator Records.

Formed out of the progressive traditional music scene in Edinburgh, Lau have consistently discovered new musical boundaries with their unique take on ‘folk’. The multi- award winning Scots / English trio have issued three highly acclaimed albums, in as many years (‘Lightweights & Gentlemen’ 2007, ‘Live’ 2008, “Arc Light’ 2009) which have seen the band taken their legendary live concert show to all corners of the globe.

Three highly creative individuals (all of whom make / release impressively diverse solo material when they are not playing as Lau).

Following their monumental “Arc Light” tour (which lasted most of 2009) , 2010 sees Lau return again to the studio to record some ‘new Lau noise’ for the first in an occasional series of limited edition Lau EP’s. There will be more live concert performances over the coming months and a number of collaborations / new works which Lau look forward to sharing with their fiercely loyal supporters.

Lau have now taken the "Best Group" prize at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards two years in a row.

Lau are a formidable union of three of the finest and most innovative exponents of modern traditional music in Scotland today.
