Hello there world! We are Laundrettas..the most fabulous flock of Ladies you'll ever meet.
Our mission as above - to bring a little more love and light into this depressed and cynical civilisation in which many do dwell.
We are a 15 strong troupe of fifties housewives who enjoy lightening others loads, lend a loving ear to anyone that needs it and we always have gin to hand in emergencies. You may find us hanging out in a launderette near you..but Hackney, London is where we reside and most frequently frolic.
Over the past 4 years we have entertained the masses in the street, on the tube, at the cabaret - especially the infamous Lost Vagueness, and wherever we go. We consist of actresses, singers, painters, illustators, gardeners, set designers, hairdressers, dancers, event organisers, dj's, lecturers, teachers, students and party princesses. Collectively, we are women who are not afraid to be themselves, know how to make others feel welcome and put on sublime soirees.
In the summertime, we skip through the fields on tour with our mobile Pamper Parlour and the Laundromat of Love - where one is invited in to be delighted. The Ladies may wash your socks, give you a marvellous makeover, or sing you a song...it's an interactive playground for those who wish to make the most of life too. By day we are a sanctuary of domestic bliss - an antidote for the hedonism that surrounds us, by night we live out our daydreams and fantasies - lock the doors of the laundromat, discard our pinnies and let down our hair...

Thank goodness we will be opened on the 9th for the first edition of Swing Mon Amour so you'll have something nice to do on a tuesday night.
