We met and married in the wonderful city of Austin, Texas. We now live in glamorous Las Vegas where we renewed our vows by having Elvis marry us. That was more fun than our first wedding!

We're best friends, lovers and spouses. What's our secret to a successful marriage? Everyone asks all the time. We think that not having children is a big reason as to why our marriage is so great. But, we hate to doom people who do have kids. Maybe the secret to having a successful marriage is being on the same page all the time. We think the way to make our marriage work is to be on the same page at all times, which happens through communication, compromise and negotiations. (Although Laura likes to believe that she just basically gets her way all the time and always wins!)

As happily married as we are, we are not necessarily pro-marriage (or anti-marriage for that matter). Marriage should not be a goal or something that people need in order to have a complete life. However, it IS A RIGHT, and it should not be denied to anyone! But, for those who have not found that "special someone", we think you shouldn't feel down about it. The most important relationship anyone can have is with himself/herself. If you can find a partner in addition to having a great relationship with yourself, well, then that's just an added bonus.
