GIGS.
04/12/09 - West Coast, Blackpool (with Karima Francis)
06/03/10 - The Good Ship, London
21 year old, guitar playing, singer/songwriter and quick witted northern lass, seeks fans, record companies and music lovers for fun times and maybe more. GSOH not necessary.
After leaving school, working in a clothes shop, doing performing arts at college and 'finding myself' for four years, trying my hand at telesales for two weeks, playing lead guitar in a punk band for a few years, spending 6 months playing a half dead Russian border guard on a ghost train, all the time travelling the land with nothing but an acoustic guitar and a smile, I'm still gigging, travelling, recording, writing new stuff and selling bacon baps and roasting chickens in Blackpool town centre to fund this rock n roll lifestyle. So please show some love and join me on this adventure.

'This songstress could grow to be the rock of alt-folk' - Glasswerk
'One to watch' - Music Fix
'Intelligent, ironic and above all else actually pretty damn good' - Get Ready to Rock
"The accent might be Coronation Street but the lyrics are intelligent, poignant and ironic all of which make them nothing less than charming." Dean Pedley, www.seaoftranquility.com
"Hailing from tropical Blackpool, it is clear that (Laura Catlow) spent a considerable time indoors mastering the art of guitar playing, songwriting and singing. And for this we can be eternally grateful." Tim Kernutt, www.allgigs.co.uk
"On stage and in person, she appears open, honest and unassuming and with a warm sense of humour that comes through in her music." Stewart Darkin, CityLife Magazine.
"This northern voyeur of social settings and tales tells us how it is with her gorgeous EP... With a bag of Northern slang and sprinkle of life experience, Laura Catlow has all she needs to write catchy tunes with evocative lyrical meaning that paint gritty but optimistic pictures of everyday life in her Albion." Chris O'Brien, www.complementarystudies.com
"Not only does she sing, not only does she play guitar, but there's a little play going on as well which keeps the audience glued... Apart from the obvious, she has also developed a great stage presence. She stands there legs apart looking good and looking confident. From time to time she will raise her left leg, bring it into her body and almost embrace herself for a job well done." Music Man, 'The Journey'
"If you can imagine the Arctic Monkeys had gender re-assignment surgery and went acoustic you kind of get what she sounds like. Highlight of her set was a nineties medley in which she managed to cram about 50 songs into 3 minutes – very impressive." www.newsoundwales.com
"57 Manchester Road?.. Absolutely gorgeous." Janice Long.
"Alex Turner's little sister." Liverpool Echo.
"Arctic Monkeys northern girl... cat woman I think she's called.." Some bloke in a pub
