Sounds Like
I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit rock'n'roll, and soul to soul...
Laura & Band have just finished recording their second EP, entitled "Songs from Nowhere" which is due out at the beginning of 2010..... Produced and Engineered by Davey McAulay at Chem 19 Studios, Laura has really stepped up her game with a record she is proud to say sounds "exactly how she wanted it to sound".
The influences are still there: everything from Guns N Roses, Sheryl Crow, Travelling Wilburys to Rilo Kiley, Kirsty McColl and Joni Mitchell. Laura's songs refuse to be pigeon-holed and she has hit back with a selection of songs which defy genre.
Laura has played Celtic Connections, Retrofest 2008, Oran Mor and many other venues over the last couple of years. She is always writing new material and performing with her band. Her first EP, "Chasing Rainbows" is STILL AVAILABLE THROUGH ITUNES AND CDBABY IN CASE YOU MISSED IT.
