As a fashion stylist, I guess my main interest is fashion!! Seventies fashion is dear to my heart since I was a seventies child, but I also LOVED the 80's!! If I could aspire do anything else in the world, I'd be a photographer or a painter - I guess I was never really an academic child - and now I want to live, eat & breath creativity!!

About me: London based fashion stylist Lauraine Bailey has worked in the television & film industry since 1999 in various administrative roles before embarking on her first 'Fashion Styling' role in 2006.
With no formal fashion training or qualifications, Lauraine feels she was strongly, but subconsciously influenced by her grandparents who were a highly regarded Tailor & Seamstress team within the local community of Chapeltown – Leeds. Lauraine expressed an interest in fashion at the late age of 25 years old and began designing and constructing her own garments, but even then, this was only considered a 'hobby'.
More than 10 years later, Lauraine has rekindled her love affair for the industry she is most passionate about and is fast carving out her career. Feeling confident and comfortable with the title 'Fashion Stylist', until such days when she may think about launching her own clothing label…..
Lauraine's creativity is expressed throughout her work which she describes as an eclectic mix of old and new, textured and soft, architectural and conceptual, contemporary and classic.
Specialising in Film & Television / Fashion - Commercial, Beauty & Editorial.

Spring is here and so are the butterflies! This week I have a gallery of a particular group of butterflies called Brushfoots. Brushfoots are the most commonly known and encountered of the large colorful butterflies (excluding the swallowtails) found in Florida and the Americas. These include the monarchs, fritillaries, buckeyes, and the viceroy below (who has nearly identical markings as the toxic monarch butterfly) to keep it from being eaten by birds.... cool trick, huh? :-)
Click the butterfly below to see my gallery - and please let me know what you think!

I understand how you feel and you were right, Daniel shines.
Death = a new beginning.
Daniel completed his mission and he chose to go because it is time to start something new. We shouldn't be too sad but live our life in full, stay healthy and happy so we can do good things for other people.

The inspiration behind this song, is the loss of my brother, Andile James Makiwne, who died in a car accident in '06. I know that there are people who lost someone they loved through street crime, accidents, wars, and death as a whole that will relate to what I felt when I lost my brother. I kept this song to myself for years but hope this acoustic performance of it would touch someone.
You can download the song for FREE HERE!
Much Love,
