About me: Hello there, I'm Laura and I'm lovely :D
Some things I like...pirates and nautical things, pretty vintagey antiquey things, arty things, sparkly spangly snazzy things, things in general, photos, memories, arcadian dreams, campervans, messy hair, scruffiness, letters, scribbles, ramblings, drinkies, the smell vacuum cleaners make when you vacuum, the smell of freshly washed fabric (also, nearly inhaling the wet showerpuff after its been in the wash because you just want to eat it almost), walks in the dark night, walks on sunny days, walks on crisp cold days wrapped up in a big coat and scarf, walking barefoot, getting up early when I try hard enough, gigs, making t-shirts, sketch shows, making silly faces, making things, going 'grrr/arrr/raarr' with my gnasherpegs, shoooes, scrabble (and the way the letters make words make love), the colour green, cakes, chocolate, sweets and other confectioneryish delights, quotes and lyrics, tickets to anywhere, colour, black and white, rain, sun, sky, stars, sea, sand, snow, beaches at midnight, the little things in life, laughing, believing, albion, poetry, trinkets, jewellery, blazers, boats, bagels, leather jackets, ripped jeans, accordions, anchors, ampersands, ears, brackets, polka dots, exploring, moonlight, music, making lists, radio 2, ebay, ceilidh dancing, spazz dancing, many other kinds of dancing especially if it involves hair and/or freak arm/leg movements, shoopdelangdelanging, adventures, arcadia, liberty and verse, old english charm, parks, photos, poo humour, picnics, tea, coffee, the city, the countryside, the seaside, freeeedom, remembering, bacon sandwiches, banana sandwiches, jam sandwiches, salmon and cucumber sandwiches, many other sandwiches (especially Paddington Bear style or Dylan Moran pocket ham style), good tea in pretty teacups, getting lost in moments, Cath Kidston, Laura Ashley (I was named after that shop I'll have you know!), and lots lots more.
I like it when my hair is poofy. I like writing 'love exists' and other things, on walls and flesh and leaves and anywhere I can. I like to graffiti and pilfer my way across the land. I've got a thing about certain numbers and find myself only letting myself use certain ones when I'm doing certain things, namely things involving water and biscuits. I often have burnt gums from eating hot hot food too fast. My eyelashes touch my glasses most of the time. When I cry they make black stripes down the lenses. I'm quite lost and in a bit of a mess right now. I'd like to take your picture. And just more pictures in general.
Who I'd like to meet: Some friends - I want actual real people to be actual real life friends with, and go do fun things with, because I feel like I have none a lot of the time. So there! I am a loner...un-loner-ify me!
If you're reading this and I know you in any way (unless you're some freaky arch enemy, of which I have none), go for it, add/message me!
If I don't know you, go for it anyway, you never know!
I just want to meet new people, who can teach me new things and just have fun and suchlike. Anyone who isn't a poo band would probably be good.
Someone human, is that too much to ask??
"The only way to find your true self is by recklessness and freedom" (Brenda Ueland)
Line-up includes regular Latitude and Glastonbury performer Byron Vincent, A.F. Harrold, who is reportedly ‘Spike Milligan and Peter Cook rolled into one’ – Daljit Nagra (no pressure then), Mark Gwynne Jones, who The Guardian called – ‘inspired… one of the most accomplished performance poets in the land’ and, as if it could get any better, there will also be music from Sheffield stalwart, fantastic singer-songwriter Louis Romegoux.
