Hey ..I am Laura Lost ..this is my music......
I play trash rock n roll .Im from A small english village .....I started a band after I lost my finger at a pixies gig.... coz I had a lot of songs in my head ....The band have played all over the uk and all over London for the past two years...I have had national radio 1 airplay ....had my song Tragic voted best song by overplay which won me and my band a trip to Ibiza ....I played King of the mountain stage at the Snowbombing festival 07 and am currently having 'troublemaker' played on extreme sports channels . I have played with some awesome big bands .... ..I have just returned from the pro france surf comp in hosseger coz I love to watch surf and play gigs at surf parties.... right now I just got back from hollywood where I was working towards making even better records and progessing myself musically as well as watching as many bands as I can possibly see and go to some rad and gnarly parties !!...If you are interested in my records please contact me ....I am happy to talk music all the time ...ROCK FOREVERxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
REVIEW OVERPLAY XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
With stark photos against decaying urban backdrops and more than a smattering of distressed typefaces on her website and CD sleeves, Laura Lost seems keen to embrace her punk heritage.The songs on this ep have an impact that comes more from their originality, wit and nose for a killer melody.
Lead track Nancy opens the show and its a perfect study in bubblegum bitchiness. Against a twinkly riff, frontwoman Laura rails against a girl who gets in everywhere and has done everything there is to be done. With an almost-spoken word vocal, the whole thing has the playful spite of Mike Skinner. Finally though, the band cant hold out any longer and amp up the aggression for pounding punky outro. Do one! screams Laura with a passion that still cant quite lose a little bit of a grin. Its cheeky, catchy top flight entertainment. And, to be honest, weve probably all met a Nancy at one time or another.
The next track couldnt be less similar if it was a Bavarian rave odyssey. Suffer Lover bristles with windswept fury as a screeching guitar resurrects the Charlatans riff from Weirdo over a fat 12-string and towers of gothic majesty. Its Linkin Park meets Sisters of Mercy, but things change once more with the slow, fuzzed-up magic of Ice Lady. The falsetto vocal and floaty guitars have all the gritty sparkle of Lush or Throwing Muses, only to fade too soon at less than three minutes.
Finally, things reach meltdown with the simple, loud and outrageously hook-heavy Troublemaker. Its full-pelt punk with a bratty, shouty vocal that sounds like X-Ray Spex vs Shaun Ryder on helium. Doubtless a live favourite, this is rock n roll in the raw. But like everything here, Laura Lost has put a lot of thought into making it look easy.

dude, i turned around and you'd disappeared, so i waited and then figured you might have gone up to the penthouse party but that was soooo over, so then went to this other room party, where i got given free beer, and ended up with a penis drawn on my arm in permanent marker. bastards. then we all went to the beach where there was a naked fat man skinny dipping with some other people, and then i pretty much went home. did you have a good night? will call as soon as i get credit. im still hungover, and need some sleep; 5 hours sleep across 2 days aint good! had to pull an all nighter... xx
