Laura was born in Fairfax, Virginia and at the young age of 3 moved to a 12-acre horse ranch, just outside San Diego, California.
Riding, training and showing horses was her passion and it quickly turned to country music when her mother took her to see John Denver in concert at the age of 10.
Laura has an extensive list of credits as a Co-Star, Guest Star and Star on several television shows and feature films and as a Host. Laura has worked for Fox, Fox Sports, HBO, Cinemax, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBTV and more.
Radio was next on the list of achievements for her, she landed her own radio show on the number one (1) talk station in the number two (2) market in the United States. 97.1 KLSX the FM Talk Station picked up the “Laura & Gretchen UNCUT” show for 3 years, a show Laura herself created with her radio partner Gretchen Massey.
Laura resides in Nashville, TN recorded her first CD produced by Nick Brophy, from this album Laura has won several awards including:
Being nominated for “Country Artist Of the Year” with “Cross That Line” and “Female Country Vocalist of the Year” with her song “Sticks and Stones” and nominated for “Female Country Singer/Songwriter of the Year” with her song “Cross That Line” in the 16th Annual LA Music Awards 2006. Laura walked away winning “Country Artist Of The Year” in November 2006.
In 2007 Laura was nominated again for “Vocalist of the Year” in the LA Music Awards and was crowned now a two-time winner. When 2008 came along, it was a nice surprise when she was nominated yet again in the LA Music Awards for “Country Female Artist of the Year”
Laura won 2nd Runner Up in the VO5 Red Hot Rising Star singer/songwriter contest with her song “Cross That Line”. VO5 has a full-page ad in the August 2006 issues of Glamour, Allure, Jane, Self, Lucky, and Teen Vogue, putting Laura’s face and song in the spotlight.
“Little Breakdowns” off her first album charted in Denmark, Norway and Sweden and Laura toured in Denmark during September 2007.
Laura spent 3 weeks in Jan 2009 in Iraq, Kuwait and Kosovo playing for
our troops, and performing on 17 bases. Laura first toured for the military
Okinawa back in 2004.
The Broken Spoke has asked Laura to play at all the Broken Spoke locations in 2009 and 2010, in cities that host the largest motorcycle rallies in the US, which include Daytona, Myrtle Beach, Laconia and of course Sturgis, South Dakota.
Television is back on her plate, and Laura is now the face of “True Country” for GOTV Networks mobile channel and will be interviewing all the country stars, covering major concerts and awards shows for the channel.
Laura just finished a PSA for THANKSUSA.com for their new Back To School campaign. The Internet will also find Laura at Discover615.com where she will host several videos for local Nashville businesses, from restaurants, to hot spots, schools and entertainment.
