Laura is a singer-songwriter from Long Beach, California. She started singing in church as a child and has explored many sides of music, including writing, performing, recording, and even breaking ground as the first female drum major (conductor) of the UCLA Marching Band where she graduated with a BS in Psychobiology. Laura is self-taught and plays 4 entirely different instruments including trumpet. Her sound is influenced by a variety of styles such as jazz, pop, folk, and rock. She sings in a funk band, plays classical violin, writes emotionally raw lyrics, and insists on living her life open to every possibility. She is driven, passionate, and honest, and wants nothing less than to change the world.

Hi hello! Happy Tuesaday. I will give you a call this afternoon to check in on the weeks plans. I think we're planning to do The Counter on Thursday, and wanted to talk about what ya'll wanted to do on Wednesday. So yea. I'll talk about it on the phone. Enough of this MySpace business...
Andy found out that he doesn't have to work until Saturday morning, so we are going to be able to drive together on Friday. My boss is getting back to work after 2 weeks out of town, so my hopes of getting out of the office early on Fri have deminished. I am thankful though that I will be able to rideshare with A. We are expecting to get in by 8 or 9 down there. Becuase he wasn't able to get the hotel for Sat night, (I think the Omni downtown) we're planning on driving back up after the show. Traffic will be a breeze then, and we don't drink too much anyway, so that shouldn't be a problem.
