Everything! (all music) all poetry, all art, every note of this living business, cats lapping water, trees, paint, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Janis Ian, Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Al Hibbler, Jude Cole, from punk to classic rock, the blues to Stravinsky and Edith Piaf, the influences are beyond impossible to state... India has surely carried some weight, my incredible mother & Mary Frey Allen... i am influenced by all the lonely children
and all the animals who suffer so greatly at the hands of us so called superior HUMANS? people who are true to their hearts, their art and themselves. Nature, the true church!
my greatest influence would be the metaphysical Christ! love is a good one..forgiveness is another!

from a sentient being:
I dream of living in a world where want and hunger is a thing of the past and war is obsolete; where all people are deemed equal and judged not by the colour of their skin, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, beliefs, physical beauty, monetary wealth or power, but simply by their humanity to others; where the plight and fragility of our beautiful planet is globally recognized and attended to; where geographical borders are crossed in friendship and all nations stand together in common unity. This is my dream.
i was born in tinsel town..grew up tough in northwest side Chicago with a hard working single mother (we are still growing together in manifesting peace) gravitated to the arts very, very young...played a cardboard keyboard taped to the coffee table, as we could not afford, let alone get a real piano up to third floor apartment..i started out early on this musical journey playing pots, dashboards and blues harp..onto guitbox...always painting words, scribbling on long yellow ledger pads... been signed, unsigned...i've played for many a pizza in the subways and performed on the floorboards of Carnegie Hall..traveled strumming, belting, modeling, writing jingles, melting, smiling ,always writing, waiting, laughing, flopping on the decks and sailing, forever praying..from the alleys of the hood all the way to the taj mahal..all the while, running from so called earthly success...a bit afraid of that i guess? i ran from what they all wanted me to be in the industry... (and i am glad that i did not sell out my soul) my love was and IS music..painting, is the affair i have on the side...i really want to skip a bio here, i do.....of all the me me stuff..although i am proud of my accomplishments..as a classically trained stage actress, (by my coach the legendary Ted Liss) who taught me a good actress plays the truth! i am a very wordy insatiable poet, aspiring painter and a songwriter, singer..and idealistic dreamer...'conceive believe receive' is my motto today...what is important to me is NOW..now is all we've got..i am kinda clearing the decks of my past..and getting on forward as best i can in the day i am gifted...
i have been blessed to travel this fragile blue marble over and over.. blessed to meet so many teachers along the way.. to perform and play with so many gifted souls...i am a humanitarian at best...i am just here to pass my earthly test and move on..to make a ripple of difference is my true prayer..through my heart my art and my music? more shall be revealed..amen!
Well Auntie, THANKSgiving has passed, I am beat, but it is a wonderful kind of beat. We all had a great time. Did you break down and have some turkey, stuffing and gravy? I received your package today. I LOVE IT. THANK YOU. Have been talking to Cassie every day. She is doing GREAT:-))
Met Heather at the parade Serenity was in On Saturday. There was a pony attached to a little wagon and Kit Kat, ran right out into the street (She BOLTED right out there) so she could get a closer look at the pony. LOL I think she has inherited her Nana's love for horses, as has Serenity.
Talk to you soon. Give me a ring:-)) HUGS from your forever friend
Hi Laura, Just house hopping at the moment, saw your photo at Noa's, so thought I would give you a call. Hope you are ok and did you have a good break? The computer I record on is giving me lots of grief at the moment, just when I've loads to get on with. Despite several good thrashings, it has failed to respond. so I think it should be put down!!!I think I may move on to a Mac, Julius 'Wil'debeest swears by them and that's good enough for me. "True Forgiveness" is sounding so good tonight. Love out to you and mum. Paul at the Dunns x
Morning Laura. Thanks for that lovely clip and your greetings, you are all love sweetheart, bless you!!!
Yep-Eric Bibb's guitbox is a Dave King 'Louis" Parlour guitar. Dave King is a specialist Southern England luthier who specialises in parlour guitars. Never played one but it does sound and look lovely. I'm guessing but you could find out by emailing him thru his website that one of these rare beauties would set you back £1500-£2000 so not cheap but something very special and rare. If you google search him his site comes up straight away.
Ok hun I'll do haunted specially for you being as you're my favouritist American Lady. Yeehaaa!
The journey begins with the end in sight Along the way remembering the light Each precious moment filled with love Keep your heart and mind there above
Along the way see everything good Even when things won't go the way they should You are being guided in all ways true So don't worry life will catch up with you.
In everything listen to who you are Shining brightly yes like a distant star But come close under heaven's door And find out all that you are searching for.
Then when it is time to move on Sing your joy of your traveling song These steps get easier one by one each day As miraculous openings come to show the way.
Feel the flowers that bloom within With each thought you bless where you have been

'rude and nude and crude'...lmao!...that's brilliant...and TRUE
what's also true is that we still have to use the library...only on infrequent occasions a neighbor downstairs lets us use his computer (he has internet access and we don't...hmmmm)
anyway...happy day (if i don't speak with you Thursday)...
let's put an end to this 'war'...do what's necessary to get OUT...and make a country responsible for itself (for a change!)
It's been so much time since I have said hello to you. How are you? I hope good! I do not write to you from my personal page but support from my hand, I have opened for a talented young singer. He is still at the beginning of his journey in music. You yourself are a musician with soul and heart, and he has it too. Daniel has yet to find his own style, but if you love a thing so much as Daniel, the music, then you can find him, his way. No matter what it costs. You'll be able to empathize. And I try to support him here. Dear Laura, I would very much appreciate what is your opinion about Daniel. I am very grateful to you if you also have a bit time to listen to Honestly.
"Dream" and "Butterfly" are my alltime favorite songs. They are sung with such tenderness. Simply beautiful.
will be a vegetarian TG here in London...celebrating LIFE as we know it
interesting: just on youtube watching clips of the AMA...unbelievable...am I completely lost? scary what's considered music these days...so on that note, I'll give THANKS for knowing and loving TRUE MUSIC...thanks to those artists for the encouragement not to stray in the wrong direction
This week remember just how important you are. We all find it easy to acknowledge the importance of others in our lives. Yet it is all too easy to overlook our own need to be nurtured and loved. So this week give yourself that extra little care and attention. In looking after our own needs, we make ourselves better people for those around us. Enjoy your own uniqueness my friend.
