Lauren was raised in a musical family. He began singing in church by the age of 5 and was called a child prodigy. He wrote and performed 5 albums before his 18 th birthday. His musical ability resulted in the sponsorship of instruments from manufacturers and in 1990 he signed his first national recording and publishing contracts in California. Lauren’s original material had a pop rock feel with a unique style of issue driven lyric focused on responsibility of choice and problem resolve that captured attention from 5 top 20 hits. Lauren’s writing skills caught the attention of the Mayor of Jacksonville, FL, Lauren’s hometown. He asked Lauren to write a song that could be used at a rally to help the city raise awareness and funds to fight the rising problem among young people in that area. That first song, Yes to Life made a huge impact and within a week of its first performance, Lauren had played for some 30,000 students. With the success of that song, a passion and concern for young people was birthed within Lauren and he began what would be a major tour for the next 10 years. Corporate sponsorship made it possible for Lauren and his tour to perform for more than 3 million students across America. He produced two movies for the free community rental at Blockbuster Video winning more than 30 awards at Independent Film Festivals around the world.
From 2000-2006 Lauren worked in Los Angeles producing music with some of America’s top young musical artists signed with Warner Brothers, DreamWorks, Artist Direct, NBC, UPN, ABC, CBS, Universal, Disney, and MTV just to name a few.
