Twenty year old, triple threat Lauren Alicia is poised and about ready to launch into the American pop scene. Nestled in a small farming community west of Chicago, Lauren blossomed artistically at an early age. Formal private voice and piano lessons nurtured her passion for music, and she performed her first solo at age 11.
The following year was an enriching milestone for Lauren when she co-wrote and performed her first original song. From there, she embraced the musical and theatrical arts through vocal and human video performances at church and throughout the community. Home schooled, Lauren was able to focus as an artist as she wrote, performed, and attended training and conferences nationally.
The G.M.A. sponsored Music in the Rockies also recognized Lauren’s promise by voting her into the semi-finals twice, and in 2005, she competed against the American Idol winner, Jordan Sparks. Eager to glean all that she could from veterans in the industry, Lauren’s vocal coaches have included, Jan Smith from Atlanta, and Nashville based Chris Beatty and Brett Manning of “So You Think You Can Duet”, CMT. She’s also studied songwriting under Chris Tomlin, Sue C. Smith, Jerry Vandiver, Craig Wiseman, and Jason Blume.
At 17, Lauren recorded her first demo CD. For the next two years she honed her craft, returned to the studio twice, and now has 20 original songs to offer the world. She’s climbing the state Myspace music charts at an exponential rate ,and her effervescent pop sound is attracting national attention. As she continues to promote her music, she’s developing the other two sides to her dynamic “triple-talent”, which are modeling and acting. Having completed Act One’s (Chicago’s top acting school) Intro to TV & Film, TV & Film I and Commercial Technique. She recently signed with H.N.E. management with whom she's auditioning for reality TV roles. Lauren’s memberships include A.S.C.A.P. and N.S.A.I.
Lauren Alicia is an emerging new artist with a fresh voice, fresh face, and fresh talent…….She’s one triple threat we’ll likely be welcoming into our hearts and i-pods very soon.
