Lauren Bateman is singer/songwriter born and raised in the the Boston area. Her passion for music stretches back to the days of her childhood when she played piano, composing her first piece at the age of 12. Her love of music grew when her sister bought her a guitar for confirmation in high school and she has not turned back since.
Lauren had her first show on a cold night in December in 2006 at a local nightclub equipped with only a small PA and her acoustic guitar. The turnout was amazing and the response from the audience was positive. Many claiming she reminded them of an early Ani Difranco.
Lauren has moved up since then, now backed by a full band for a rich and vibriant musical experience. It is not hard to become engaged in the high energy melodies and immersed in the emotions of the lyrics that describe her life's journey.
Her musical influences are evident in her song writing and performance. Those who remember that cold night in December 2006, have experienced the growth of a young musician both lyrically and vocally. It is a journey Lauren has been on for a few years. It is a journey she hopes to continue, and one she hopes you will join her on.
Come join Lauren and the band for one hell of a night of music you won't forget.
