My name is Lauren Brown, and I am an Army wife. I am happily married to my husband, hero, and currently deployed soldier, SGT. Brown. I am a 21-year-old singer/songwriter from Lawrenceburg, Indiana. I write and record with my dad (Ken Burkhart) and brother (Tony Burkhart - 2Tone Productions). I am pursuing my dream of becoming a singer/songwriter, but I am currently unsigned. "The Silent Ranks" is my main focus right now, and I am in the process of re-recording "American Dreams" and "Come Home." Both of those songs are rough demos, but I wanted to include them anyway even though they are not re-recorded yet.
"The Silent Ranks" is a song for military wives. We are all aware of the great support out there for us, but I wanted to support military wives even further through a song. I have been an Army wife for a few years now, and my inspiration for this song came from my experience as an Army wife.
"American Dreams" is a song for anyone pursuing an "American" dream of their own. I wrote this song with my brother for a class project in college, and each character in my song represents different dreams that we have. Our dreams are what keep America alive. (This song is being re-recorded - This mix is only a demo)
"Come Home" is a song I wrote for my husband when we first met. He was being deployed to South Korea two weeks after we met. It was ten months before we were re-united again. The day he came home was a day I will never forget. (This song is being re-recorded - This mix is only a demo)
I hope you all like my music, and please pass the songs along if you do. Thanks for your support and for listening!
