Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, The Cure, Mark Stoney, deeperwiderhigher, Ryan Adams, Alpha, Kevin Prosch, and lets not forget THE CHARLES CRYER STUDIO, The Moon on the Hill, Thom, the one and only SG, and of course Regional Magnetic Fields as Navigational Markers for Sea Turtles, as Speller so succintly puts it.
Sounds Like
now we've started again, this time its me and beth (my wife), both playing, singing writing etc. sister fizz will be making a guest appearance, and maybe others. you are hearing the fruits of our labour. all songs since July.
and the history of how we got here...
the first run out was RANCID TULIP, with me singing and rythum g, Neil (drums), Andy(bass) and Jamie, who was AMASING on the guitar - shame that ended. Lots of Ramones and Led Zep covers, and a few of our own.
When we parted ways, me and Neil were reborn as ARCANE with my lunatic cousin Matt on bass, who never did a gig straight, but was amasing - especially the ability to bend the neck through a whole tone, and keep playing. Some weird songs, the most popular of which was 'get in the shower' - ahhhh glory! We were joined for a while by a good metal guitarist called mike - problem was, we weren't playing metal...
Then the move to the north happened, and Neil went off to form Steve, Matt went off to Brighton and i obviously joined a funk outfit. yes... well... suddenly i had to learn how to play guitar. and sing in tune. I learnt, and DWH was born. That did well, recorded a cd, added some hard edge to that band, and when we parted ways three years later they reverted to being a proper cool jazz outfit. I went solo for a while, and the rock crept its way back in.
Then came the big one - Mark Stoney, what a big one! We got together to form a band around his already recorded and released debut album.
We rocked. for three/four years. Sadly, i got old and couldn't be doiing this full time unpaid stuff anymore, so spent 6 months finally recording three albums worth of material and then got a job which, quite honestly, is cool.
WORD OF THE WEEK (5/4-5/21) IS: "CREATIVITY"
1.The use of the imagination or original ideas, esp. in the production of an artistic work.
2. Use your mind to bring (something) new into existence.
3. Something the world can never have enough of.

This image exemplifies the blend of art and science during the Renaissance and provides the perfect example of Leonardo's keen interest in proportion. In addition, this picture represents a cornerstone of Leonardo's attempts to relate man to nature. Encyclopaedia Britannica online states, "Leonardo envisaged the great picture chart of the human body he had produced through his anatomical drawings and Vitruvian Man (laul) as a cosmografia del minor mondo (cosmography of the microcosm). He believed the workings of the human body to be an analogy for the workings of the universe." It is also believed by some that Leonardo symbolised the material existence by the square and spiritual existence by the circle. Thus he attempted to depict the correlation between these two aspects of human existence.
