A born singer, Lauren Christoff's love for music began at a very young age. With influences such as Sammy Davis Jr, Carole King, Elton John and Etta James, it is no wonder there are such soulful and rich sounds woven into Lauren's music. "I grew up listening to some really incredible artists, and I have my parents to thank for that" says Lauren. Lauren boasts a powerful and rich voice which is complimented by her un-paralleled self-taught piano skills. "For some reason the piano just seemed to come naturally to me, it turned out that I could just sit down and make up melodies" says Lauren. Lauren is now tackling the daunting but exciting task of working on her first full length studio album while studying at Ryerson University. "It can be stressful at times, but having the chance to make music is all i have ever wanted, and I'm really excited to be pursuing my dream" Lauren maintains a strong relationship with her family and believes that they are the reason she has been able to strive for her goals and achieve so much at such a young age. Lauren joined Northern Heights Records in September of 2007 and released her first single "Won't Stop" to a nation-wide radio audience in the summer of 2008. "Won't Stop" climbed the charts quickly, reaching top 40 status in August of 2008. Lauren's first studio album is set for a mid 2009 release date. Her goal with this next challenge in her life is to create great music that both mainstream radio listeners and artistic critics can enjoy and relate to. Surely 2009 promises to be the year of Lauren Christoff in the international music scene.
