Well, ADD makes reading suck hardcore. And we all know that most of the stuff that we're given to read from grades 1-12 are far from thrilling- or even worth using as paper to potty train your new puppy with. But luckily I had both life experience and genetics on my side which helped make me one damn good bullsh*ter! After that, it didn't take me very long before i was able to figure out how I could do the very least amount of required reading possible while also making really good grades. However, I hope ya'll don't think think that I'm totally opposed to literature in general or anything; If the book was even remotely interesting, I would usually do my best to read the darn thing. Unfortunately, (or maybe fortunately, depending on how you look at it) I've started doing a lot more of the reading lately because now that I go to school at the University of Texas, you almost always have to do the work that's assigned outside of class in order to make good grades. Aside from college, there's an even greater instrument that I feel is responsible for the greatest increase in my reading to date- so, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU TABLOID JOURNALISM! Through the invasion of fun celebrity gossip and embarrassing photos frequently found in abundance near grocery store check-out lines, I am reminded of the simple pleasures one finds while reading. So, hell yeah, US Weekly, Star, The National Enquirer, and In Touch... ya'll kick ass and the world thanks you for doin' it! (Seriously, ya'll, they really are the best, right!) :)
