Lauren is a truly unique artist... as well as being a prolific songwriter, she is a first class vocalist, pianist and percussionist.
For 2 years, Lauren held the vocal and percussion chair with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Great Britain. She has performed in concert with Jazz legends Cleo Laine and John Dankworth, Tina May, Benny Golson, Roger Nobes, Ian Shaw, Len Skeat (Peggy Lee's bass player), and Ronnie Verrall (Animal from The Muppets), as well as Jamie Cullum & Daniel Beddingfield.
Lauren was also a member of female vocal harmony group, The Scarletz, for 2 years, and in 2007 they auditioned for the X Factor, making it into bootcamp as one of the final 18 bands (performing infront of Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Dani Minogue and Louis Walsh).
Lauren has just signed her first publishing deal, with many songs behind her, which raise social issues such as binge drinking, keeping fit & bullying, and address subjects such as being judgmental, depression, coping with changes in your life, and making the right decisions.
Recent success has included radio airplay on BBC Essex and various other local and international stations, and Lauren's song "My Child" was chosen by Johnson & Johnson as the official song in their charity campaign for "Safe Kids Worldwide", helping to prevent accidental childhood death and injury. She recently performed "My Child" on Lauren Booth's (Tony Blair's sister-in-law) TV show, "Remember the Children of Palestine", and accompanied singer Najam Sheraz (a household name in Pakistan) on his world peace anthem, "Only Love". She has since performed with Najam Sheraz in the UK, US, and toured Pakistan.
Lauren feels that music can really make a difference, and her aim is to be a positive role model for the youth of today, using music as a medium to make people think, and feel. Music is a very powerful thing; it can encourage bad, or good...
