Lauren is a freshman at Berklee College of Music. She recently graduated from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). There she was the student director of the Vocal Jazz Ensemble, sang with the LACHSA Big Band, and several LACHSA Combos. In 2008, Lauren was selected as a member of the Gibson/Baldwin Grammy Jazz Ensembles, the Brubeck Summer Jazz Colony, sang at the Monterey Jazz Festival and was featured in the Young Artist Jazz Series at Catalina Bar and Grill. Over the past two years, she has performed in numerous jazz venues in the LA area. She also sang background vocals on the Patti Austin Recording, “We the People." In 2009, Lauren was a Semi-Finalist in The Spotlight Music Awards. She performed at the Playboy Jazz Festival, received the ASCAP Foundation’s Leiber and Stoller Music Award, and is currently performing with the Beantown Swing Orchestra in Boston.
