Lauren Faggiano
Singer/Songwriter
Lauren Faggiano's music is all encompassing. When shes not performing, she works as a music therapist with adults with developmental disabilities. Her music envelops the listener as well with thoughtful, well-placed music around lyrics that soothe and explain: kinda like therapy, kinda like a diary. Faggianos new CD, into the blue, is a pleasant acoustic guitar-based outing with little tweaks of violin, piano, and drums throughout to compliment her creamy alto.
-Frank De Blase
Background:
Since the time of her childhood, music, writing and sharing her gifts for both have been Laurens true passions. In her formative years she began her musical journey by studying the viola and participating in the school chorus. Wanting to absorb more, she taught herself the guitar and piano and began to immerse herself in all different kinds of musical styles.
From these experiences Lauren pursued a degree in Music Therapy at SUNY Fredonia. Today, Lauren works in and around the Rochester area as a board-certified music therapist, assisting adults with developmental disabilities.
