Hey! I don't know if you remember being in Chess in Atlanta quite a few years ago, but i was one of the kids in it as young florence. :)
I bought 'Songs From Jason Robert Brown' on iTunes a few months back, and I absolutely adore it. You have such an amazing voice!! I'm thrilled to hear you're doing so well with theatre. You're quite talented.
I'm still in Atlanta, working at various theatres. I'm actually interning at Georgia Ensemble Theatre, which is one of the few Equity houses down here. :)
Hailed by The New York Times as a blend of Jonathan Larson and Billy Joel, singer/songwriter and musical theater composer Jeremy Schonfeld will be performing a solo-concert at New York's Zipper Theater Factory on Monday, March 3rd.
Backed by his full band and surprise special guests, Schonfeld will be showcasing music from 37 Notebooks, which includes an all-star line-up of artists including Shoshana Bean, Adam Pascal, Tracie Thoms, Lauren Kennedy, Amy Spanger and Jarrod Emick, among others. It is scheduled for release in April 2008.
I LOVE your performance as Nefertari in "Ten Commandments" - I have the show on DVD and have watched it several times. Initially I was interested in the show as I am a major fan of Val Kilmer, but I thought everyone in the cast was brilliant and have been collecting the CDs of everyone in the cast!
I've had Nita Whitaker's three albums and Luba Mason's album for a while now and they're brilliant, as is Val Kilmer's demo CD (we're awaiting a full-length one from Val in the hopefully near future).
I have ordered "Songs Of Jason Robert Brown" and "Here And Now" from Amazon. Com (as well as Michelle Pereira's new CD from her MySpace) and I look forward to them arriving in the mail, especially so I can hear your solo music.
Hey how are you? Just thought I'd drop a few lines to say hey. Have you done any broadway shows lately? Your music is really good. Guess that's all for now. Talk to you later.
