The Beatles, Jason Mraz, Carole King, Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Karen Carpenter, Mindy Smith, Martina McBride, Natasha Bedingfield, and the list goes on and on..
I'm Lauren Mazur, and I'm 20 years old. I live in Nashville, TN and currently attend college while working on music. I've been singing professionally since I was 14 years old. Over the past 6 years, I've performed over 100 live shows all over Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
In 2007, I was fortunate to be chosen by NFAA (National Foundation of Advancement of the Arts) as one of 7 top popular vocalists in the country. I was flown out to Miami where I was surrounded by gifted musicians, singers, and dancers. It really changed my life, and inspired me to pursue a career in the arts. I continue to work with NFAA now as a chaperone for the new incoming artists chosen.
I'm a member of NSAI, and attend songwriting sessions. I also write at Ash Street Music and Zavitson Music(ZMG) on Music Row collaborating with various songwriters and musicians (Andi Zack, Jon Nite-I co-wrote a song, "paper hearts" for him, Tofer Brown, Bekka Bramlett, Kyle Knutson, Deanna Walker, and Kyle Lee, among others). As of November 2009, I'm officially a signed songwriter/new artist for ZMG on music row.
"Love Me", I co-wrote with Andi Zack. It was produced by Kyle Lee at Clean Productions. Kyle really added so much of his creativity to this song, and gave it a personality.
"Free From You" demo, I co-wrote with Tofer Brown. This is the second song I've written with Tofer, and he's such a talented singer-writer-musician. Visit his site at: www.myspace.com/toferbrown..Background vocals on the song were done by Tofer Brown, Kyle Lee, and myself. Kyle Lee produced the song at Clean Productions Studio in Franklin, TN. After working with Kyle on my last 6 projects, it's hard to want to work with anyone else. He's such a perfectionist and cares so much about the final product.
"If It Kills Me" demo, I co-wrote with Deanna Walker. It was my first time to work with her, and it was a pleasure. She teaches songwriting at Vanderbilt Univ. Writing with her is like getting a private lesson. I learned so much!! Kyle Lee produced the song at Clean Productions Studio in Franklin, TN.
"Make Me Yours" demo, a duet with Tofer Brown, I co-wrote with Tofer Brown. It was recorded at Clean Productions, and engineered by Kyle Lee. I really enjoy working with Tofer, and we plan to co-write a lot. (and the "family guy" impressions kept me laughing all day!)
"In The Way" demo, I co-wrote with Kyle Lee. This song was my third project with Kyle, and first co-write with him, and he's been so great to work with. "In The Way," was recorded at Kyle's studio, "Clean Productions" in Franklin, TN.
"Red Lights" demo, I co-wrote with Andi Zack. It was so much fun writing with Andi, and I hope to do it a lot more. Kyle Lee produced the song at Clean Productions Studio.
"Maybe I Don't Want To" was written by Andi Zack. "Love Don't Let Me Down" was written by Karyn Rochelle of Yellow Dog Publishing. The Beatles Version of "Something" was an original track created by Bekka Bramlett. Bekka, Crystal Taliefero, and Bonnie Bramlett sing back up vocals on that song. "You'll Be In My Heart" was arranged by Kyle Knutson and myself, and written by Phil Collins. That song was recorded in honor of my Grandpa who died May 1, 2009. It was performed at his funeral. He was my hero and I miss him..
For some of my older studio work on the player, I used Wildwood Studios in Brentwood, TN. Musicians on some of the music are Pat Coil on piano, Jerry Kimbrough on guitars, Jim White on Drums, Jim Ferguson on bass/stand up bass, and Brendan Harkins on guitars and sound engineering. It was a pleasure working with such superb musicians. Watching them create these songs how I envisioned them was magical..
Thanks so much for visiting my site. To view current videos of live performances, there is a "video" link right below my default picture. I have some other video posted on youtube of some recent performances. "Being a Performer isn't just a hobby, it's a way of life.... you have to LIVE it to LOVE it."

Thank You very much for the comment. I 'm very glad You like the song! Apart from the top friend slot on my page Elton also covers 4 shelves of my cd case which amounts to about half a square metre of my wall. Actually, that 's almost a full cd case but I have 9 of them. So, I may not hear that a lot but I 'm happy when I do
I wish You a very happy Christmas and all the best!!
I thought that you might be interested to hear that i've finished my album. It's going to be available for download very soon. There is a sample of a couple of tracks on my page. They're all original songs, except one old traditional song.
Hi honey!!! Merry Christmas back!! I'm sorry we haven't gotten together in the last couple of days--it's been holiday craziness! Anyway, much love and can't wait to see you in 2010~!!!!
