Lauren has been a songwriter for 15 years and only in the last five years took the plunge to perform in front of "unsuspecting crowds".
On a Performing Arts course at college, Lauren really discovered her niche in music, as she composed several songs during this period for the piano.
But, since Lauren met with her shiny blue stringed friend, she has been strumming out many more tunes over the past seven years.
Now 29 years old, Lauren feels it's time to get her act together and get herself heard. "I write my songs out of emotion. Like many songwriters, my lyrics are born from life experiences. The hope is that with each chord I play, and each word I sing, the audience will relate to or understand the emotion, come along the song's journey with me and enjoy the ride! It would be a bonus to sing for a living but for now, the dream is enough."
Lauren is currently in the process of organising gigs, writing new songs for her debut album.
