The production work of Laurent Collat leans on his strong aptitudes for sound design and mixing.
First reaching music through synthesisers,Laurent can be considered an expert in the quest for new sound textures using all the possibilities offered by the different synthesis and sound treatment methods available.
His work for artists like Denez Prigent, Laurent Garnier, P18, Snooze or recently Wax Tailor as well as for his own projects under his Elegia or The Kick Inside monikers has brought him acclaim and recognition from the audience and the press.
Laurent has being signed on F communications records during 8 years under the Elegia's moniker until he decided to quit .
Laurent is currently focusing on production as a mixing engineer for different acts such as Wax Tailor.

J'écoute très régulièrement "Sounds within", un album qui est essentiel dans mon audiothèque. 10 ans après, il est encore très actuel et un exemple à part entière.
Je me souviens l'avoir découvert en "point écoute" à la Fnac de Lille, et là, je me suis dit "Wouaw!" Réflexion qui me taraude encore à chaque fois qu'il tourne sur ma platine.
Bref, mon voeu le plus cher est de pouvoir écouter un nouveau EP de la même trempe. "Stay low" m'a déjà mis l'eau à la bouche, je n'ose même pas imaginer ce que tu nous réserve d'ici là...
