"Whether it is in the studio or on the stage that is success to me.".. With a soulful jazz influence inspired by Ruth Brown, Ray Charles, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta James, singer, songwriter, Lauriana Mae sings her way onto the entertainment scene with an energy and compassion to be the best at her craft. From as early as age 6 she began singing at home with her mother who inspired her right from the start. Lauriana still remembers the little boombox her mother used to record her on, and it was in those times spent with her mother that truly provided a basis for her style and unique talent. As time progressed, those home sessions led her to join the church choir, and gave her the confidence to audition for Redbank Regional Performing Arts high school where she was accepted, majoring in vocal music. Her early accomplishments continued to provide a path for her to hone her vocal ability, and perfect and produce the style of music she enjoyed. Eventually she began performing at a few talent shows where she was praised by her peers, now a normal individual would be content from the nominal praised received, but this did not satisfy Lauriana Mae, it only fueled her flame for stardom and she knew, to be the best, she had to learn from the best. She began auditioning, and performing in different groups, which infused her writing ability, and gave her the confidence to enter the studio to record songs in hopes of establishing herself as a solo artist. What brings this songstress to life? Who would she like to collaborate with? Artists like Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, and John Mayer to name a few have inspired her to break the mold of contemporary music, and thru the combined sounds of Jazz, Pop, and R & B she has been reborn again through her melodies that emanate a dynamic range of vocal ability and control. Now ready to prove herself to the masses she will be introduced on a new MTV show, which premieres this fall. .. With a charismatic personality, and undeniable ability to wow the audience she overcomes anything standing between her and her dream.
