Here's my own stuff, and a few tracks from a previous band, Electric Mistress. Tracks for download were mixed by Jakael Tristram, an extraordinary musician and producer in Seattle, WA, and with George Aragon on drums (kudos to a drummer who slaps it down after all the other ones are cut!!! The organ on Easy Now and Believe was played by Roger Wood, aka Grandmaster of the Fraternal Order of the draw-bar. JaKael played the slide solo on Believe
The Electric Mistress studio songs were produced by Byron McCay, at JAG Studios, and the live Electric Mistress tracks were recorded by John Custer (JohnCuster.net).
I am grateful to have such brilliant ears having lent themselves my way.
I teach guitar at Harry's Guitar Shop, in Raleigh, NC, and I sing in the Al Williams Band
(AlWilliamsband.com).
Thanks for all the commentary, and interest in my songs!
How's it going? I have some new songs up on my profile. Check it out if you get a chance. Here's a guitar video I did awhile back, if you like it, please tell your friends about me! enjoy!
They're just fun. Period. You should check out why Cafe' Mars are regulars at the best rooms in the Triangle and the Triad . . . especially, Amra's! They're back, Thursday, Sept. 4th - 9:30pm to 1:30am.
Cafe' Mars has grown into one of the most popular bands from the Triangle, for many reasons. Made up of full time, teaching musicians, these guys can play. Drew, Todd, Ben, Steve & Charlotte, have all played, recorded and toured with national and international recording artists, Grammy winners and of course, the very best talent from North Carolina. These are some of the area's most in-demand musicians, individually, yet they come together as Cafe' Mars for more than 100 dates per year, so there's no other Triangle band tighter, or more versatile. They'll start the show with a fusion of contemporary jazz and funk, and finish the night with an eclectic mix of dance hits from the 60's through today.
"Cafe' Mars is without a doubt one of the top performing groups in the Triangle. They're very clever with their song choices ranging from jazz, pop, soul & and even retro! With their powerful vocals and amazing trumpeter, this band is a must see." --Gigi Thigpen - Jazz Entertainment
