My heart is in San Francisco, which is where my radio career began almost 4 decades ago at KSAN-FM. My first full-time paycheck stub came from KTYD-AM & FM in Santa Barbara, California where I enjoyed playing pretty much anything I wanted, while enjoying a beautiful ocean view for 8 wonderful years. Other call letters I'm proud of are KBCO in Boulder, Colorado, KHIH (Smooth Jazz) in Denver, Colorado and 20 years in verious formats (including Smooth Jazz) at Jones Radio Networks in Denver. For the past 5 years I've been in the world of "Chill" by building the music department at KLBU-fm in Santa Fe, NM and Programming the "Chill With Mindi Abair" syndicated radio show. As luck would have it "Smooth Jazz" and "Chill" have come together with www.smoothlounge.com where I will be spending a good deal of time. Visit me there too.

I love all styles of music, some that moved me in my younger years and some that get my attention now...Here's some of my faves: Bonnie Raitt, Moby, Maria Muldaur, Slow Train Soul, Mindi Abair, Wax Poetic, Marilyn Scott, Euge Groove, Brazilian Girls, Phoebe Snow, Thievery Corporation, Melissa Manchester, Praful, Mark Gorbulew, Dido, Astrud & Bebel Gilberto, Professor Oz, Sade...soooo many more...we'll talk over a bottle of wine sometime.

About me:

I've had the pleasure of serving up music on the radio since the very early 1970's. I've made a lot of life-long friends. I am now hosting "Smooth Denver Nights" on Denver's KKHI 101.9 FM. The show is 7-Mid M-F and I'll be playing Down/Tempo/Chill music along with the best Contemporary Jazz. You can tune in online at www.kkhi1019.com. I'm having a blast working with a great production team on an exciting nationally syndicated radio show, "CHILL WITH MINDI ABAIR" (previously "CHILL WITH CHRIS BOTTI") We're celebrating our 5th Anniversary in September of '09.
