All music written by Howard Haigh unless otherwise stated.
Featuring the band with their usual line-up of guitars, Bass, and
percussion, they also add Melodica, Harmonicas, Organ, Jaws Harp, Mandolin
and their dynamic vocalising. There's also some authentic Spanish cicadas,
water, street vendors of Sevilla, and a few surprises.
Some of the tracks were recorded live (ie playing it live but not actually
in front of an audience) to capture the true, exciting spontaneity of the
band. Throughout the album the vibe is one of real musicians playing
together like they truly inhabit the music - which, of course, they do.

Howard Haigh plays Spanish Guitar, usually amplified and employing
techniques from Flamenco, Blues, Jazz, Folk, and Rock, and is also an
internationally acclaimed composer - he was shortlisted for "Composer of the Year" Award 2006 from the British Academy of Composers. Last July, Haigh had an entire evening of his music performed in The Queen Elizabeth Hall at the London South Bank, and in April 2008 a similar concert will take place at the London Barbican Hall. He has performed on TV and Radio throughout Europe, including appearances with Gloria Gaynor, Screaming Lord Sutch, Antonio Forcione, Craig Charles, Alan Titchmarsh, Blue Peter, Midweek, a performance for HM The Queen, and
his music has been performed and broadcast throughout the world.
Guy Morris-
Blues Guitar, Vocals, Percussion
Guy Morris is one of the best Blues slide guitarists you're likely to have
the pleasure of hearing. Add to this his impassioned vocals on a range of
Blues and Pop standards, classic Blues-Harp, percussion outbursts, and the use of Live Looping to build up a virtual orchestra right before your ears, and you have a truly impressive artist. Not only that, he is Mr All-Round Entertainer with spontaneous Juggling and some of the worlds worst jokes.
This is a great performer who gets better by the minute.
Dave Shooter-
Bass Guitar.
Dave Shooter is a virtuoso 6-string Bass player providing a solid foundation as well as lyrical, melodic Bass solos. Prior to moving North, Dave was a founder member of the classic London Jazz-Funk outfit 'JuJU', releasing two excellent and well received CDs.
Dave also works with 'Off the Rails' Big Band and 'Bay Beat' Samba Band.
Xtof Lheureux-
Percussion, Guitar, Vocals
Hailing from France, Xtof has been all over the world
presenting his joyous and exuberant music. Xtof (pronounced Christof) is a singer, songwriter, percussionist, and occasional dancer. As a part of Lava he adds a Gallic twist perfectly in keeping with the spirit of the band, singing songs in French, playing Cajon (A box originating in Peru and commonly used in modern Flamenco), Bongos, and Congas, and a range of other instruments.
