La Ventura means " luck ", that little bit of extra we need to make it in this world !
Time flies when you're having fun! 2009 a new year and hopefully new results in the long road to succes, with this year an EP, new partners and releases in countries all over Europe supported with gigs!
Founded by ex-Orphanage drummer ( Holland's first Gothic Groove Metal band ) Erwin Polderman
and vocalist Carla Douw, the band has released their strong debut abum" A New Beginning " on the 6 th of Oktober 2007.
A charismatic singer with passion in her voice; melancholic, mystical, atmospheric synths and piano, heavy guitar riffs and a groovy rhythm section are the main features of La-Ventura.
La-Ventura signed a record deal with the American based label Renaissance Records in 2007. The album has been officially released on the 18th of March 2008 in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The debut album "A New Beginning" has 10 tracks on offer which are fresh, catchy and with a twist. The whole production is done by the band itself with help of friendly professionals who knew what the band is about.
The band has already shot their first video "Trefoil" which was the first single out in The States!
In 2009 the debut has been released in Germany, Switzerland and Austria in June 2009, through the efforts of Gordeon Music, Dr-Music Distribution and Red-Rock Managament.
In the Summer of 2009 an EP will be recorded and hopefully released in September, letting people know that La-Ventura is still alive and stronger as ever! More and more gigs will be played were of course the new material will be played, so come and see the band live!

Put together the first music video for one of the songs, that being for the song "Eel Marsh House", which is based on the movie "The Woman In Black". Wasn't sure to name it that instead of 'Eel Marsh..." ...Eel Marsh House being where the woman in black 'lived', and now haunts it. Though, she seems to haunt the general area of the village as well as the House. If anyone catches her gaze, looks into her eyes....a child will die, usually from the family of the person unfortunate to look at her. As you see what happens to the story's main character at the end.
