About me:
Our Community Place promotes personal growth and community well-being in the north-end of Harrisonburg, Virginia. We offer a community center on North Main street, across from the Little Grill Collective diner . .http://littlegrillcollective.com/
In fact, it was from a weekly Monday soup kitchen held there every week for a decade and a half that OCP arose--both spiritually and physically. Generous donations from LGC customers over the years put concrete and dollars to the dream.
This community center now makes a place for those who have nowhere else to go, offering free meals all day, every day (at least most days), and computer and telephone access, etc. We also offer a full schedule of classes and activities, as well as access to social and other services available in the area.

We host a number of musical events and festivals, including the annual summer Lawn Jam in late June . .
